Thermal modification is a completely organic process that uses heat, steam, and pressure to physically enhance the properties of the wood. Sauna wood that is thermally modified is more dimensionally stable, more water-resistant, has an ideal moisture content.

Thermo Aspen does not secrete resin, splinter, and is comfortable to the touch in high heat, making it an ideal sauna material.

Note that lumber sizes are nominal, with actual sizes being slightly smaller after drying and surfacing.
